Event Description

Join us for this hands-on class and learn all about how to save your own seeds. We’ll cover topics such as why we should save seeds, the difference between wet-seeded crops (such as tomatoes and cucumbers) and dry-seeded crops (such as lettuce and beans), understanding how pollination works and how to prevent unwanted crosses between similar plants, how to know when seeds are ready to be harvested, and how to properly clean and store saved seeds. The class will be led by farmer and avid seed-saver Katie Jesurun who will bring a wide variety of seeds to process together as a group.
