 Title-We're More Than You Think!

Homemaker clubs provide education with a difference.  They are local clubs of one of the largest volunteer organizations, the Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association. The Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association (KEHA) is a volunteer organization that works to improve the quality of life for families and communities through leadership development and education in cooperation with the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service.

The Extension Homemakers provide information and education for the family that meets the needs of today's lifestyles.  Monthly "Learn With Us!" Lessons are taught by the Extension Service on topics ranging from food and nutrition, health, clothing, family economics, home furnishings, and consumer education.  Members have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities and events throughout the year, including trips, programs and seminars. As dedicated volunteers, we network with local agencies to enrich lives in our community.

You can join as a club member and attend monthly club meetings or as a mailbox member to receive information in the mail and attend activities as time allows.

Boone County currently has 8 active homemaker clubs and over 300 membersÓ†ļwe're a diverse group of individuals of many different ages, interests, and talents.  Some clubs meet during the day and some in the evening.  Local clubs meet monthly in homes, churches, restaurants, or community centers at a time convenient to the membership.  Each club has its own set of officers.  Each month, clubs have a program of interest for their members.  These programs are taught by members on a rotating basis.

Annual membership is $8.00.
