2017/2018 Horse Educational Hours

Below is a list of the date, time, and location of this year’s meetings. Other opportunities to acquire hours may be added, but they are not guaranteed. Participants must attend 6 hours  of education from our Certified Volunteer Horse Leaders to be able to compete in 4-H horse activities for the 2017-2018 program year.

► TBA—State 4-H Horse Contest & Judging

► July 1-7, 2018—State 4-H Horse Show, Louisville

► August 8, 2018—Boone County 4-H Horse Show


LookOut Hills Horse Lovers

Are you a horse lover? If so, come join the LookOut Hills Horse Lovers group! Our goal is to expose horse lovers to all the fun and responsibilities that horses have to offer. We have two age available for participation: 4-8 year olds that meet at 6:00 pm, and 9-17 year olds that meet at 7:00 pm. You do not need to own a horse to join. We will meet at LookOut Hills Farm in Burlington one Friday a month to learn about and ride horses. The cost is $5 per child at each meeting. The dates for 2017 are: April 20, May 11, June 8, July 13, August 17, September 7, and October 19 (wear costumes for the Halloween party!).
